Jeremy Booth is the artist behind Daboothinc. In 1979 he was born in Houston, Tx. He split his time between his grandparents in Lake Livingston and his parents in Houston. When he was 10 years old, he moved to California, where he lived in San Jose, Sacramento, and Oakland. At the age of 14, he returned to Houston to live with his grandparents, George and Barbara Brewer. His Grandmother Barbara and his uncle Gary Brewer were both artists, who gave Jeremy as a young child his instant passion, as well as influence, for art.
Inspired greatly as a child by comic books, Jeremy began to teach himself illustration. As he matured, artists such as Dali, Da Vinci, Geiger, Echer,Paul Booth, Jim Sweet, and MitzMier began to influence him.
Having such a vast range of artistic taste gave Jeremy the desire to learn many different styles.
Jeremy has honed his artistic ability in graphite, acrylic, ink, and mixed media. To this day he is constantly striving to learn new mediums. Presently his genres include realism, abstact, and surreal. Often there is a bit of modernism and impressionism apparent in his body of work. Soon he will be dabbling in air brush and sculpture.
After become a young father at the age of 21, Jeremy's style took on a new light, as his passion and appreciation for life became much brighter. His son Nikolais has been an inspiration for many pieces. Much of his personal body of work has elements of spirituality, politics, philosophy, and life in general within them. His passion for family is what encourages him to do family and people portraits.
After the death of his grandfather, who was like a father to him, Jeremy felt the best way to pay tribute to him was in a portrait with Jeremy as a baby being kissed by his grandfather, from an award winning photo taken by his uncle Gary Brewer. With the completion of the portrait, the satisfaction Jeremy had gave him the idea that there are others out there that may want the same tribute for their loved ones as well.
Thus came the idea of custom portraits. This same concept was then applied to pets. As an animal lover himself, Jeremy understands the important role pets play in human companionship. And how much of an impact they place on our lives. Often these little angels are overlooked.
With the help of his family, Jeremy is finally able to provide these wonderful piececs of art.
